Nice! I liked your thumbnail art so I checked this out and played to the end. I like the art and art style, and the music is great. The art for the person in the well and the end screen background were my favorites. The gameplay and dialogues were bug-free and worked well. And the resetting of the character when it hits spikes was something new, so I liked that.
Some hopefully helpful feedback: The start screen with "Web" and "ROM" -- I wasn't sure what to do. I tried pushing Enter, mouse-click, B, Z and 2. I eventually realized that I needed to push Z twice to get the game to start (for browser version), but I felt like I discovered that somewhat by luck. Separately, the control of the main character was a bit difficult at first, perhaps because the jump force is quite strong and so is the gravity, and perhaps also because of the character's momentum continues after letting off the controls. Everyone has their own taste on that, but I thought I'd share my feel for it in case it's helpful.
Nice work!
